Mandy Moore Tells Critics to ‘Kindly F Off’ Amid Backlash Over Sharing Her In-Law’s GoFundMe for Fire Losses: ‘We Lost Most of Our Life in a Fire, Too’

Mandy Moore Raises Awareness and Support for In-Laws After L.A. Fires

Mandy Moore is among the many celebrities affected by the devastating Los Angeles fires, which have caused widespread destruction across the region. Taking to her Instagram page, the actress and singer shared the heartbreaking news that her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Griff and Kit, lost their home in the Eaton Fire.

The couple, expecting their first baby in just a few weeks, has been left to rebuild their lives from scratch after losing their home and belongings. Griff, a touring musician, also lost his entire collection of drums and percussion instruments, tools essential to his livelihood.

To help them recover, Moore highlighted a GoFundMe campaign, initially aiming to raise $60,000. Thanks to an outpouring of support, the fundraiser has far surpassed its goal, collecting more than $176,000 to date.

“Yesterday, my brother-in-law and sister-in-law Griff & Kit lost their home and everything they own in the Eaton Fire,” Moore shared in an emotional post. “With their first baby on the way in a matter of weeks, they need our support now more than ever. Griff is a touring musician and also lost his entire arsenal of drums/percussion he uses to make a living. It’s all so much. So many have asked how to help during this unimaginable and stressful time…Please consider donating and sharing to help them rebuild.”

The devastating fires have not only displaced thousands but also served as a reminder of the community’s resilience and generosity. As Griff and Kit work toward rebuilding their lives, the overwhelming response to the campaign is a testament to the power of compassion during difficult times.

For those looking to contribute or learn more, the GoFundMe campaign remains active, and every contribution brings Griff and Kit one step closer to starting anew.
